Today's reading is only 1 verse, from Psalm 101 : 2: "I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart." (King James Version)
The New American Standard Bible reads : "I will be careful to lead a blameless life—when will YOU come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart."
It's nearly impossible to be blameless in our lives, and it's certainly impractical to hold such expectation of others and ourselves. No matter how careful or how hard I strive to be a perfectionist (though I know I shouldn't but I am in certain way...), I just can't be perfect ...by myself. The Psalmist called out to the Lord : When will YOU come to me ?
Though there was no answer straight away in this verse, I believe it'd certainly be : when I invite Him or let Him to come into my daily living. I am reminded of a promising verse in Philippians 4:13 "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." "Everything" means all encounters in my life, even facing the circumstance which I think it's doomed. Thank you, Lord!
